Bubbie Butterfly

When I was a child my grandmother told me a story about a family of butterflies, including the old, brown and not so colourfull Bubbie (grandmother) butterfly.  This is my take on her- no flashy bright colours, but the most gorgous, weathered soft and warm colour, with a firey red core (carnelian).  Measuring almost 3 inches this is a piece that, like my bubbie, makes a statement wherever it goes.
